Lisa Sharp

Executive Director, Barbour County Development Authority

Lisa Sharp currently serves as Executive Director on a part-time basis for the Barbour County Development Authority.  Ms. Sharp is a native of Barbour County and a graduate of Philip Barbour High School. 

Ms. Sharp's experience includes organizational management, facilitation, grant writing and administration and program development in a variety of arenas. In addition to managing local economic development organizations, Ms. Sharp previously served as the Public Information Coordinator for USDA Rural Development in Charleston, West Virginia.  She now operates her own consulting business where she works primarily with communities and non-profit organizations to promote community and economic development.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration Degree, both from West Virginia University. She is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute and is currently working to complete coursework through the Community Development Institute.

Alice McDonald

Office Manager, Barbour County Development Authority

Alice McDonald serves as the Office Manager for the Barbour County Development Authority.  Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, Alice later moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where she spent 20 years serving as Deputy Clerk for the Clerk of Court for Volusia County, Florida. 

After retiring in 1997, Alice and her husband moved to Barbour County and she began working with the Development Authority in 1999.
