Churches
The county is served by more than 80 churches, including three Catholic and 77 Protestant Churches, over half of the latter being either Baptist or Methodist. Many churches hold regular "socials," holiday bazaars, or special meals such as chicken barbeques and pancake suppers which are open to the public. In the spring of the year, many communities sponsor ramp feeds featuring wild leeks eaten raw or cooked in a variety of dishes.
